Plowboys BBQ is competition-style barbecue with restaurants all over Kansas City and serving food at Arrowhead Stadium. Plowboys Barbeque began in 2001 and Todd Johns along with his brother-in-law, Randy Hinck, started Pork Pullin Plowboys. They competed for the next six years, traveling all over the country, perfecting their craft and learning how to cook truly great barbecue. Hint: It’s all about the “low and slow.” They would go on to Grand Champion Status at the American Royal and have won multiple first place awards there as well. This line of rubs and sauces were among the first BBQ Pro Shop carried, starting with Yardbird Rub and Bovine Bold.
